Lyman takes Player of the Week Honors

Vermont Mountaineer outfielder Colin Lyman, a rising sophomore from Louisville, was named the NECBL Player of the Week. He was the third Mountaineer to take home weekly honors, second only to Plymouth (4) for most on the year.

"At the dish, Lyman certainly made his case for the league’s top performer last week. The Louisville rising sophomore torched the opposition by finishing 12-for-17 at the plate with a league-best .706 batting average. His versatility helped the Mountaineers win four more games as he contributed four runs, two doubles, one home run and four RBI while, most impressively finishing with six stolen bases in seven attempts, a mark that was second most in the league during that stretch.

The left-handed outfielder finished the regular season with a .379 batting average in 23 games, posting a 22-for-58 clip at the plate with 14 runs, three doubles, a triple, homer and seven RBI while totaling an impressive .930 OPS and .379/.413/.517 slash line."
